How To Use The Interactive Map

This is an interactive map of scuba diving sites in Texas. To use this map, begin by noticing the user control panel in the upper left hand corner of the map.

Zoom: You must use the Zoom feature to see all the dive sites in a particular area. For example, if you are going to Lake Travis you should zoom in on that lake; it is just west of Austin. Once zoomed in you will see that there are several areas of Lake Travis that you could dive. The Zoom feature allows you to zoom very closely into a particular area on the map.

Aerial/ Bird's Eye Views: Aerial View allows you to view the area from satellite imaging. Bird's Eye View is only available in some areas; the site appears as if you were acutally flying over it. Bird's Eye View is an extreme close-up.

Centering your site: To center your dive site on the map prior to zooming or changing view style, doube click on the icon you wish to view.

Info: Hover the mouse over an icon for more a brief description of the dive site. There is usually an underwater map or a photo of the site attached. Click on the picture to enlarge it.
